If any of the following developments or conditions arise during normal operations, construction, or Shops activity, or if you have questions regarding these areas of compliance, please contact Environmental Compliance & Sustainability.
- Process or Sanitary Wastewater discharge drain that may not be properly connected to a sanitary sewer. This includes existing, modified or new drain installations.
- Non-Sanitary Wastewater discharge (including process, laboratory chemicals and stormwater run-off) connections connected to a septic system without a posted permit.
- Any non-stormwater discharge that is routed to a stormwater outfall, ground surface, or surface water without a posted permit, including chemical, material, spills/releases, waste, or wastewater.
- Any visible sheen, suspicious discoloration, or odor of surface water, grounds or vegetation.
- Suspicious or unusual presence of materials or chemicals anywhere on CU-owned or administered property.
- New or modified processes that produce chemical wastes or emissions to air or water that have not been reviewed/approved by ECOS or EH&S.
- Construction stormwater discharges that do not have a posted Permit and Pollution Prevention Plan.
- Temporary or permanent, above or below ground fuel storage tanks that have not been reviewed by ECOS.
- Outdoor oil or chemical containment systems that are exposed to storm water and have not been reviewed by ECOS.
