ECOS is comprised of several interactive teams (Director, Administration, Sustainability, Programs, Services, and Operations) that work together to provide engineering, compliance assurance, and sustainability leadership services to Cornell. The functions of each team and personnel profiles are included below.

The team advises guides and assists the University community in its compliance efforts. This involves both technical assistance and advice on processes and procedures. In addition, the team assesses the compliance status of operations, and works with the units in making necessary improvements. |

The Services Team manages whole projects or the environmental, sustainability and local approval aspects of a larger project. They are an enterprise -funding their operating budget through the fee-for-service model. Depending on the project manager’s needs, ECOS management will assure environmental protection and compliance or provide technical engineering and design. They also manage the operation of the former Radiation and Chemical Disposal Sites. |

- Manages wastewater discharge permit compliance for the Cornell University SPDES permit.
